Looking Ahead at The Witness Journal: Under the Father’s Care

Under the Father’s Care

As we begin June, The Witness Journal turns its attention to a theme that touches every life in one way or another: fatherhood. Yet this month’s journey is about more than earthly fathers alone. Together, we will explore what Scripture reveals about fatherhood, covering, identity, blessing, and legacy—and how these themes ultimately point us to the heart of God.

Throughout June, we will encounter men whose faithfulness shaped families, communities, and future generations. We will reflect on the words that shape identity, the blessing of godly influence, the healing found in God’s fatherly care, and the legacy that remains long after a life is lived.

Our first week, The Strength of Presence, focuses on fathers who protect, provide, and faithfully remain. In a world that often celebrates grand gestures, Scripture repeatedly reminds us of the quiet power of simply showing up, standing firm, and remaining faithful.

As we begin this new month, may we be encouraged by the reminder that some of the most significant acts of faith are not dramatic or celebrated. Often they are found in daily obedience, quiet consistency, and the willingness to remain where God has called us to be.

Whether your experiences with fatherhood have been joyful, complicated, or somewhere in between, my prayer is that this month’s reflections will draw us closer to the One whose care never fails and whose presence never leaves us.
