Looking Ahead: Abiding in Love
Next week at The Witness Journal, we will slow our pace and settle into a deeper truth: God invites us not just to receive His love, but to abide in it.
Abiding is not striving.
It is not proving.
It is remaining — staying connected, rooted, and present with the One who loves us completely.
Throughout the week, we will reflect on what it means to live from a place of secure belonging rather than constant effort. God’s love is not something we visit occasionally; it is a dwelling place He offers us every day.
Here’s what we’ll be meditating on together:
📖 This Week’s Scriptures
- Monday: John 15:9 — Remain in My love
- Tuesday: Psalm 16:11 — Fullness in His Presence
- Wednesday: James 4:8 — Drawing Near
- Thursday: 1 John 3:1 — Called His Children
- Friday: Romans 8:38–39 — Unseparated Love
Each reflection will gently invite you to:
- Notice where you are rushing instead of resting
- Recognize where God’s love is already holding you
- Practice abiding through stillness, prayer, and intentional presence
As you move into this week, consider this simple question:
What would change if I stopped trying to earn God’s love and simply stayed with it?
We’ll explore that together — slowly, honestly, and with grace.
May this coming week be marked not by effort, but by abiding.
