Looking Ahead at The Witness Journal – Faithful Witness: Priscilla
Quiet Strength. Shared Ministry. Faithful Influence.
Lenten Focus: Walking Humbly with Others
This week, our Lenten journey invites us to see how faith is expressed through partnership. We’re exploring what it means to walk humbly alongside others—just as Priscilla did—serving, teaching, and encouraging without seeking recognition.
As we prepare for a new week, we turn our attention to Priscilla—a woman whose life reflects the quiet power of faithful presence.
Priscilla, along with her husband Aquila, was an early believer and ministry partner of the Apostle Paul. We encounter her in the book of Acts, not positioned for recognition, but consistently present where the work of God was unfolding.
She helped guide Apollos, a gifted teacher, with clarity and care. She opened her home for ministry. She walked in step with others, strengthening the early Church through relationship, wisdom, and steady faith.
Her story reminds us that influence in God’s Kingdom is often carried through ordinary moments of obedience—lived out in community, humility, and service.
This week, we will explore what it means to walk alongside others, to serve without seeking recognition, and to remain faithful in both visible and unseen places.

A Gentle Invitation
As you move into this week, consider:
- Where might God be inviting you into deeper community?
- What would it look like to serve or lead from a place of humility?
- Are there quiet places in your life where faithfulness is being formed?
Closing Reflection
Before we begin, we pause.
There is something sacred about noticing the lives of those who walked faithfully before us—especially those who did not seek attention, yet left a lasting impact.
This week, we will take our time with Priscilla’s story…
not rushing past it, but sitting gently with what her life might reveal to ours.
