Looking Ahead at the Witness Journal: The Heart of God

As we continue our June journey through Under the Father’s Care, this week’s reflections turn our attention to the heart of God Himself. Throughout Scripture, God reveals Himself not only as Creator and King, but also as a loving Father—one who protects, restores, teaches, corrects, and welcomes His children with compassion.

Many people carry different experiences and emotions when they hear the word father. Some remember love and guidance. Others carry wounds, absence, disappointment, or longing. Yet Scripture continually points us toward the perfect Father whose character remains constant even when human relationships fall short.

This week, we will explore the ways God’s fatherly love meets us in every season of life. We will encounter a Father who draws near to the forgotten, runs toward the repentant, lovingly corrects His children, welcomes us into His family, and holds us with compassion that never fades.

This week reminds us that God’s fatherly love is not distant or conditional. It pursues, restores, teaches, protects, and remains. Whether we come to Him celebrating, questioning, grieving, or simply weary, we are welcomed into the presence of a Father whose heart is always turned toward His children.

May these reflections help us see Him more clearly, trust Him more deeply, and rest more fully in the care that only He can provide.
