Saturday Selah: Knowing His Love Personally
This week wasn’t about doing more for God.
It was about knowing Him more deeply.
On Monday, we acknowledged the longing of the soul — that ache that quietly says, There must be more.
On Tuesday, we were reminded that His love is not distant; it is poured into our hearts.
On Wednesday, we rested in the truth that He delights in us.
On Thursday, we reflected on what it means to live in love — not just believe it exists.
On Friday, we were invited to taste and see for ourselves.
Love becomes personal when it moves from information to experience.
When Scripture shifts from something we read
to something we recognize in our own story.
“Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.”
— Psalm 63:3 (NIV)
Personal love changes posture.
It softens striving.
It quiets insecurity.
It steadies fear.
This week was not about understanding God intellectually.
It was about sensing Him relationally.
Not:
“God loves people.”
But:
“God loves me.”
Today, don’t rush into the next thing.
Let what you experienced settle.
Sit somewhere still.
Recall one moment this week where His love felt real — even subtly.
Hold that moment.
That is intimacy growing.
Selah Reflection Prompts
- When did God’s love feel personal to me this week?
- What shifted in me when I stopped striving and started receiving?
- Where do I still struggle to believe His love applies to me specifically?
- How can I remain aware of His personal love next week?
Closing Prayer
Father,
Thank You that Your love is not abstract or distant. Thank You that it reaches us personally, gently, intentionally. Help us move from knowing about You to knowing You. Make Your love real in the ordinary spaces of our lives. Anchor it in our hearts so deeply that we no longer question whether we are seen or valued.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Leona
