Saturday Selah: A Quiet Courage That Still Speaks

“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” — Hebrews 13:7 NIV

Resting in What We’ve Witnessed

This month, we have walked alongside women whose courage did not always announce itself loudly—but whose obedience echoed through generations.

We saw strength that did not strive for recognition.
Faith that did not wait for perfect conditions.
Obedience that moved quietly, yet powerfully, in the direction of God’s call.

And now, we pause.

Not to rush ahead.
Not to strive for the next thing.
But to Selah—to sit with what we have seen, and allow it to settle into our own lives.

Because these stories were never meant to remain stories.
They are invitations.

What Quiet Courage Teaches Us

Deborah reminds us that leadership can be both strong and surrendered.
Jael shows us that courage sometimes looks unexpected—and requires decisive faith.
Huldah reveals that faithfulness in obscurity is still deeply seen by God.
Priscilla teaches us that influence often flows through partnership and quiet discipleship.

None of them were performing.
None of them were chasing recognition.

They were simply available to God.

And that is what made their lives powerful.

A Gentle Invitation

As you sit in this moment of reflection, consider:

  • Where is God inviting me to be faithful, even if it feels unseen?
  • What would it look like to walk in quiet courage this week?
  • Am I waiting for clarity—or am I being called to simple obedience?

You do not need a platform to be impactful.
You do not need recognition to be effective.

You only need a willing heart.

Selah Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the quiet courage we have witnessed this month—
for the lives of women who walked in obedience, even when it was costly, unseen, or unexpected.

Help us to carry what we have learned into our own lives.
Teach us to be faithful in the small things,
to trust You in the unseen places,
and to walk boldly in whatever You have called us to do
.

Quiet our striving.
Steady our hearts.
And remind us that a life surrendered to You is never wasted.

Let our obedience speak, even when our voices are soft.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Closing Stillness

Sit for a moment longer.

Breathe deeply.
Release the need to perform.
Let go of comparison.

And simply rest in this truth:

God is not looking for perfection.
He is looking for willingness.

Leona
