Being rooted in Christ means more than beginning with faith—it means continuing to grow deep in Him. Through Scripture, prayer, worship, obedience, and trust, our roots strengthen. And when life’s weeds, worries, and storms come, we do not have to strive. We can remain anchored in the One who sustains us.
God is not simply near us—His Spirit dwells within us. His presence comforts, strengthens, influences, and corrects us while reminding us that we matter to Him. As our relationship with God deepens, so can our awareness of His presence. Today, pause and remember: **You are His dwelling place.**
God’s presence is not limited by what we can see, feel, or understand. We may put God in a box, but Psalm 139 reminds us that He is everywhere. In creation, in change, in waiting, and in ordinary life, the evidence surrounds us: God is still God, and God is still here.
Faith in practice becomes visible when what we believe shapes how we love, forgive, serve, speak, and endure. Jesus calls us to shine so others can encounter God’s light through our lives. As September closes, ask yourself: What can someone see about God because of the way I choose to live each day?
Fruit takes time to grow, and so do we. God is the Gardener, Jesus is the Vine, and we are the branches. As we surrender, trust, study His Word, and obey, God prunes what no longer serves His purpose and cultivates the fruit He desires to produce in us over time.
What is your faith producing? Good fruit grows as we study God’s Word, surrender what displeases Him, and keep choosing His way. We will not change overnight, but we can examine our motives, thank Him for the growth we see, and trust Him with the places still needing care, one faithful step at a time.
Waiting can feel like nothing is happening, but God may be doing some of His deepest work in you. The delay can develop perseverance, reveal what needs surrender, strengthen character, and deepen hope. You may be waiting for your circumstances to change while God is faithfully changing you.
Waiting can last so long that struggle starts feeling normal. But God never asked us to stop living, strive in our own strength, or carry every burden alone. Jeremiah 29 reminds us to keep building, planting, trusting, and receiving help while we wait—because faithfulness still has purpose in the in-between.
Waiting gets harder when we believe God should have answered by now. But our expected time and God’s appointed time are not always the same. When the promise seems delayed, faith asks us to keep praying, preparing, obeying, and trusting. God’s timing may stretch us, but His faithfulness remains unchanged.
Forgiveness is not always a feeling that arrives before obedience. Sometimes it is a decision we practice again and again, releasing the hurt, the debt, and the need for an apology into God’s hands. We may still remember what happened, but through grace, yesterday’s wound no longer has to control today’s heart.
