A Moment of Stillness: Letting the Week Settle In

As we move into this new year together, I want to create a gentle weekend experience on The Witness Journal. Each Saturday and Sunday, we’ll have a moment of stillness and reflection—a simple format to help us pause and realign.”

Welcome to our first Stillness Saturday here at The Witness Journal. This is a space where we simply pause and let the truths of the week settle quietly into our hearts.

This week, we started our journey into the new year by remembering that God is the one doing the new thing. We learned to release the pressure to strive and instead embrace stillness as a form of alignment with God’s renewing work.

Scripture for Stillness:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Stillness Prompt:
Take a few moments today to simply sit with this scripture. Let it remind you that stillness is not the absence of movement, but the presence of trust.

May this Stillness Saturday be a gentle pause in your week. Let God’s peace settle over you as you prepare for all that’s ahead.
