Waiting can feel like nothing is happening, but God may be doing some of His deepest work in you. The delay can develop perseverance, reveal what needs surrender, strengthen character, and deepen hope. You may be waiting for your circumstances to change while God is faithfully changing you.
We live in a right-now world, but God is not governed by our timelines. When nothing looks different, faith asks us to stop measuring God’s movement by visible results. Waiting teaches us our own character, reveals God’s faithfulness, and strengthens us to keep walking even when we cannot see what He is doing.
Waiting can last so long that struggle starts feeling normal. But God never asked us to stop living, strive in our own strength, or carry every burden alone. Jeremiah 29 reminds us to keep building, planting, trusting, and receiving help while we wait—because faithfulness still has purpose in the in-between.
The disciples misunderstood Jesus’ mission until revelation transformed their understanding. In the same way, God often reshapes our perspective over time, teaching us that true greatness is found not in status, but in surrender, faithfulness, and purpose.
Perhaps the seed is not only what we pour out into others — perhaps the seed is also us. Faith that has been tested develops roots. Trust deepens over time. And every day we continue to rise, thank God, and keep moving forward despite uncertainty is evidence that something holy is still growing.
The Canaanite woman models a resilient faith that refuses to walk away empty. Even when answers seemed delayed, she stayed, trusted, and kept believing — reminding us that silence does not mean God has stopped listening.
God’s silence is not always abandonment. Sometimes it is nurturing. While Zechariah was silenced and Elizabeth remained hidden, God was protecting and developing the promise in ways no one else could yet see. The story is not finished until God says it is finished.
