The valley may be dark, painful, and exhausting, but we never walk beyond the reach of our Shepherd. God doesn’t abandon us when we struggle. He searches for the lost, strengthens the weary, and carries us when we cannot walk another step. His presence doesn’t always remove the valley, but His faithfulness sustains us through it.
God’s protection is not always the removal of the storm. Sometimes it is the gift of His presence within it, reminding us that we never face life’s challenges alone.
Jochebed’s surrender was not abandonment — it was trust. In one of the most painful acts a mother could face, she released her child into God’s hands, believing that what she could no longer protect was still fully seen by Him.
Joy is not the starting point. Protection is. And when we learn to rest in God’s keeping, we begin to discover that His presence—not our circumstances—is where joy has been waiting all along.
We called it punishment.
He called it protection.
And years later, I finally understood — correction is compassion in action.
